Version 0.2 - Daily Grind edition


Hey folks,

Welcome to a pretty major update for Voidheart Symphony! This is a significant rework of the game both castle-side and in the mundane world - expect the grind of your daily lives to feel a lot more real and present with the new Projects system, and face down minions, traps, enforcers and vassals all in the same butt-kicking confrontation system! Here's the full list of changes:

  • PC-PC bonds are now wrapped up in a Crew Covenant: you pick how you relate to the crew, and then have access to that covenant. It’s what triggers when any PC hangs out with you, and what is improved/weakened when you Help/Hinder.
  • Removed Face the Horde, and split Flow Like Water into a more agility-focused Flow Like Water and a brawn-focused Power Through.
  • You now fight Minions and traps with the confrontation moves, and there's written guidelines for giving Minions and Traps Qualities.
  • Enforcers and Vassals get special reactions they use when each Quality is destroyed.
  • Added rules for Projects and tied them into the Mundane World rules. Duck Out is gone.
  • Tweaked the Empress covenant to use the Project rules. 
  • Put the Clues Together is now Make a Connection, letting you form a bond with a new Covenant.
  • You can use Push It to reroll a roll, at the cost of reducing a covenant’s rating.
  • Contamination is now Stigma, mainly for layout purposes.
